News: Check out these NEW posters from D23 for Star Wars: The Last Jedi and BTS footage!

By: Myri Nieves

D23 is in full swing and they’ve released a behind the scenes look at the making of the film AND brand new posters. Here’s what’s interesting about the posters; Carrie Fischer once said that Star Wars was about family, so you take away Finn/Poe and the characters who get posters are Rey, Leia, and Kylo. I’ll let you draw the conclusions for yourselves, but here are other interesting things to know when you check out the behind the scenes footage:

  • A significant scene will take place underwater – The footage brings us Rey diving into the water and both the trailer and footage show interesting water shots. There are rumors of an underwater planet. Could this be a key part of the new film?
  • Kylo Ren gets his mask back – All the footage so far has shown Kylo without his mask. Is this intentional to separate him from the Darth comparisons and his obsession with wanting to be him? Still, it seems as though he does get it back.
  • We are introduced to new furry friends – Amazing animatronics can be seen in the BtS footage and we’re excited about these new friends!
  • Finn WILL go undercover in the First Order – One AMAZING part of the footage is that we do see the rumor confirmed that Finn will, in fact, be undercover. Will he get information that will be vital for the Resistance?
  • The Stormtroopers finally have a new weapon – And only time will tell if it’s more dangerous than their iconic blasters.

Check out the BtS footage AND posters after the cut!

News: Information and new photo released for upcoming Jigsaw!

By: Myri Nieves

Lionsgate has released a new photo and some information on the upcoming Jigsaw film via Entertainment Weekly.

It was revealed some time ago that the legacy isn’t over as we thought. Lionsgate announced they would release an 8th Saw film focusing primarily on Jigsaw and what he left behind. Not many details had been released up until now! The directors of the new installment, Michael and Peter Spierig, spoke exclusively with EW to reveal some gory details on the new generation Saw:

“Bodies are turning up, and they’re linked to Jigsaw — or a Jigsaw copycat,” said Peter Spierig. “The DNA of Tobin Bell is all over this film.”

“We’ve got some pretty wild traps in the film — we don’t shy away from the gore,” says Michael Spierig. “It’s such a perfect Halloween scarefest. It’s perhaps not quite as vicious and more fun, which is something we tried to inject into it. But it’s still full of good fun gore, that’s for sure. And, on top of that, it’s got a really great mystery, and there’s very interesting twists. It’s ‘Saw’ for 2017.”

The next installment of the Saw series, Jigsaw, will be in theaters October 27th, 2017. Check out the new photo (and possible new trap!) below:

Photos: New IT photos show Pennywise’s lair

It_08312016_Day 46_11374.dng

By: Myri Nieves

Entertainment Weekly has revealed concept art for new IT remake thanks to New Line Cinema. This art shows the possible location and lair for Pennywise, the horrifying clown that kills children by showing them their biggest desires and fears combined. An interesting tidbit released to Entertainment Weekly, however, is that George’s (Bill’s brother and the child who met a gruesome demise in the sewer) body is not discovered after he is killed in the gutter, thus leading the pack of children to try and recover it.

In the Town of Derry, every thirty years the local kids are disappearing one by one, leaving behind mutilated bodies as the evidence that something is wrong. A group of seven kids – known as The Losers Club – will discover the horrifying truth on what is causing the mass murders and will honor a pact to try, against all odds, to stop IT.

IT is slated for a September 2017 release. Check out the photos after the cut!

Photos: NEW photo of the Tomb Raider reboot!

By: Myri Nieves

Entertainment Weekly has released a new photo and tidbits about the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot. Vikander – who plays the titular role – spoke exclusively with EW on the upcoming film and how Lara will be.
“She has all the fierce, tough, curious, intelligent traits, but we’ve stripped away all of her experience. She hasn’t gone on an adventure just yet. She thought he was a stuck up businessperson living in the modern youth culture of suburban London, but then this whole box of information. This is the beginning.”
Vikander wasn’t a stranger to the stunt work involving the film, telling EW about the grueling process she had to go through for some of the film.
“Just like in The Wave, we have a lot of water sequences, I spent my last two days of shooting in a tank and that was my 16th total day being fully drenched or submerged in the water…For one action scene, we used the London venue for Olympic rafting. They threw me down that river — with my hands tied — about 50 times. I didn’t need to act, just react!”
The new Tomb Raider is set to be released in March of 2018. Check out the new teaser photo below!

News: Could Christopher Nolan direct the new James Bond film?

By: Myri Nieves

In an interview with Playboy Magazine, Dunkirk director Christopher Nolan said he would love to direct a James Bond movie, but don’t get too excited just yet. He states the film would have to need him and it would be an entirely new thing.

“A Bond movie, definitely,” Nolan told the magazine. “I’ve spoken to the producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson over the years. I deeply love the character, and I’m always excited to see what they do with it. Maybe one day that would work out. You’d have to be needed, if you know what I mean. It has to need reinvention; it has to need you. And they’re getting along very well.”

Christopher Nolan knows all about a franchise needing him, as it was thanks to his artistic view that Batman once again came into a good light and with more depth than we had seen the films before. He knows how to take a film and make it into something other than just a running time of two hours. What Nolan could do with Bond boggles the imagination, but it would have to wait until Daniel Craig is out of the running or they decide to reboot the series. As we all know, it is rumored that Daniel Craig could be back for another Bond film, even though he was reluctant to sign on again.

You can catch Nolan’s latest effort, Dunkirk, in theaters July 21st in the USA and July 20th in the Caribbean.
