After making his incredible debut in Captain America: Civil War, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) returns back to New York to be taken under Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey Jr) wing in order to prepare him for the responsibility of not only being a potential Avenger but Spider-Man. Living with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei) and trying to balance a social life, school, and possible romance can be a little tricky when you’re the friendly neighborhood spider. Wanting to prove himself to Tony, Peter will find himself in a sticky situation when he confronts Vulture (Michael Keaton) as he rises as New York’s newest villain, and everything he has fought for will be tested.
I am personally very excited to see how Marvel and Sony (who finally teamed up) will take this new Spider-Man. I have to praise every comic god that there’s no Uncle Ben story line or seeing how Peter got bit by the spider. Fascinating as that was the first 100 times, I think we’re all ready to see something new. Of course many were heartbroken when Andrew Garfield was taken out his dream role, but Tom Holland his shown he brings something fresh to the table as he takes on the red suit.
Directed by Jon Watts, Spider-Man: Homecoming also stars Zendaya, Jon Favreau, Donald Glover, and Tyne Daly, and is expected to make his way to your closest theater on July 7th. Check out the clip of your favorite neighborhood spider meeting some fans and a special guest!
