Warner Brothers Pictures has released four new TV spots/clips of Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film: Dunkirk. Check out the clips below.
Set in World War II, Dunkirk tells the story of 400,000 British and French troops who are surrounded by Germany and trapped, essentially, on Dunkirk beach. As they are hunted by the enemy on land, sea, and air, they must find a way to evacuate the island in an extraordinary quest of survival.
Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight, Inception) returns to your screen as director of this visually stunning film. When filming, Nolan said his intention was to film from three angles: land, air, and sea, to capture the true feeling of the attacks along the armies and give a more realistic feel to the film. What is exciting about this film is that it offers us three perspectives and each one is filmed at a different pace than the other, so as to never expect the same technique in every take. No doubt that Nolan wanted it to be this way so that the attacks could seem more realistic and you could feel the true desperation in each specific scenario.
Dunkirk stars Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Fionn Whitehead, Kenneth Branagh, Mark Rylance, Aneurin Barnard, James D’Arcy, Jack Lowden, Barry Keoghan, Tom Glynn-Carney, and Harry Styles. The film opens in theaters July 21st, 2017.
