Warner Brothers Pictures has released new photos from the highly-anticipated Blade Runner sequel through Entertainment Weekly. The photos showcase not just the cast but elaborate sets that make the Blade Runner films so magical.
Blade Runner 2049 takes place thirty years after the events of the firm film. A new Blade Runner, LAPD Officer K (Gosling), discovers a long-buried secret that could potentially plunge society into utter chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a desperate mission to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), the former Blade Runner that has been missing for thirty years.
To get you even more excited, the director of Blade Runner 2049, Denis Villeneuve, told Entertainment Weekly what a pleasure it was to have Ryan Gosling on set. He says: “Ryan was my muse,” Villeneuve tells the outlet. “He has the movie on his shoulders. He’s in almost every single frame. To see his smile in the morning — and when Ryan Gosling smiles, the camera melts — and his goodwill and strength just meant the world to me. I owe him a lot. This movie owes him a lot.”
Blade Runner 2049 is set to be released in October 2017. Check out the photos below!
